We write our own test and quizes all are multible choice
We have written short evaluation sheets that contain very few true false. Most of the answers are fill in the blank. I have seen a huge difference in test scores and lab proficiency because the questions reinforce the information we have covered that day. It has cut down the number of questions they should be looking up on there own because they had to look the information up in there workbooks to verify they were answering the questions correctly.
Keeping current with the industry is paramount. Students are always coming up with new information that can cause some Q and A's to no longer be correct or outdated. Having flexable test makes the organization look more professional.
in our program, we can write our own tests and change them anytime. it helps keep our info relevant. it also allows us to adjust to what is changing in our industry.
Our program uses pre-determined tests. I find that some of the tests are written above the level of our students and some of the tests aren't that relevant. The biggest problem is, we can't change them... well at least not in a timely manner.
