Test types
The tests i use in my classroom contain all of the types except for essay due to time restraint and it works well for us.
In my class it's the same. There are all types of learning techniques, but essay. I do like to get into discussions so students can talk as much as they want about any topic.
I agree, I try to use many different types of test to avoid the monotinay.
Also helps to give daily quizzes to asses what is working and what changes are needed.
We use all types as well,with the exception of the essay.Our quizzes have all types combined into one for the most part. I think this makes the tester put more effort into thinking than just clicking off,say,true or false questions.
I'm agree with you. I do the same as you when I do my exams. To me works fine.
