Testing
On the day before the test, make sure you communicate to your class the subjects to be tested on and other expectations.
we go through a brief review, a little
refresher never hurts the day before
the test
Reviews are a beautiful thing if, you review the subject mater being taught. If one reviews the test, that is as much cheating the student as if the student cheated him or herself. Did it do them any good, there as before, does the student want the knowledge or just points on a test?
I agree that communicating an expectation of what matterial to focus on, is very important.
i agree, but with out saying its on the test. if thats what is implied. i tell my students that this is what you need to know when your out in the field.
I do not review what's going to be on the test w/my students. I tell them the first day that during lecture I will give them the answers to the test, it's up to them to either remember it, write it down or high light it.
