Group created tests!

All of our assessments are created by a group of people that are experts in the subject matter. Therefore, they are designed for maximum effectiveness. The students are always assessed in a fair and complete manner.

I have found that if the 3 week class is shortened due to holidays or special events some material on the test may have not been covered. Having the luxury (and burden) to adapt the tests as necessary is very important.

It has also been mentioned about having different versions of tests on test day(Test A and Test B) is effective so 2 classes back to back (or AM and PM) do not take the same test.

This is a really good idea that I will try to use. It makes the students work and interact with each other as well as finding out the material the students think in important.

I really like this idea. You can really see what the students have learned and you can see where you as the instructor may need improvement on getting information across in an effective manner.

I like this idea a lot. It makes you see the material from the students' viewpoint.

I have broken the class into groups and had them write questions for the other groups then I go over them and use the best questions the next day and have the class teams do a oral quiz to test their knowlage, then you can save the questions for future classes.

that is a different way of testing, i may check into that.

and it is also good to change testing up so incoming class can't collaborate with past class and give poor results

In my class sometimes i will have students split up into 2 groups and each side will produce a test and they will try to stump eachother.

The only problem, that I find, with these tests is that there is, at times, subject matter that is not tested that should be. When you want to get some of the questions changed it can prove to be difficult. but overall the questions are fair and even-keeled.
