Unique material presented. I believe that the material can be utilized immediately and enhance my course.

I also like to have a lot of variety. I think having a lot of multiple choice as a base, but then mixing in some fill in the blank, T/F, and a few essay questions is a good way to be fair. The essay questions I like to be a little open ended so that the student has a chance to add something of their own to explain what they've learned. It's interesting to see what they've personally retained from what you've lectured.

I also like to put a variety of question types on my tests. I rarely use test bank questions, except for True False questions.
Having variety forces the student to think "differently' during a test. Use a slightly different part of the brain to come up with the answers needed

I try to use multiple testing options on all of my tests. I feel this gives my students a variety of ways to shine.
