A verbal or spoken take can be a good way to test those who have testing anxiety. I have learned that some student do quite well with verbal test verses a written test because, it is as though we are just having a conversation. In witch this tends to relax some students while testing.

HI Sean - Thanks for your post to the forum. We use verbal tests for things like medical terminology where students must be able to spell the medical terms. I also have used verbal assessments for students with certain disabilities. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
