Still Learning
I often tell my students something that was told to me many years ago. "The Best Way To Learn Is To Teach". I tell them that learning is a life long experience and I am always open about something I am unsure of. I will tell a student with a puzzling question, that I am not certain of the answer and I will get back to them asap. Most embrace this. But, be sure and get back to them in a timely fashion.
I could not agree more.I find it best to always enter my class with an open mind.
Be open about your learning journey. Discuss with your students areas that you are learning.
I work at a cooking school. My students have to do physical things. A short lecture at the beginning of class is fine but if it is to long I loose them

I find it very effective to ask students questions as a group to have them figure it out. They always say "two heads are better than one." So a whole class is great! I tell them that I many not always know the answer, but I can certainly obtain the resources to find it.

Every time you teach you are reinforcing what you already know and making it stretch. We are never finished with our learning. New things are always out there being developed and learned. We are life-long learners.
I agree. One thing I found when I do not have the answer is to work through the question or problem together as a class. I might not know the answer but most of the time I know where to go or who to ask to find it. Not only do the students get the answer to the question/problem but they can learn how to problem solve.
