Pay Attention To What You are Learning
I just made the mistake of answering a question before I read the whole question. Of course it was wrong; that just shows me why the students make little mistakes on questions I know they should know. I know how to fix this problem now
I agree. Some of my students take a test so fast then they make mistakes and get points taken away. If they just slowed down and read the question they would have gotten it right. I think we all tend to move quickly, whether listening or reading and sometimes we miss important items!
God for you, Shane!
We often try to bypass good teaching and learning strategies. I know that I thought I knew the answer to the question before I finished reading and it didn't work.
When asking questions and giving responses, it goes back to using those "pregnant pauses" which are difficult for most of us.
Keep up the good work!

I also see my students and even myself prematurely answering some questions before complete the reading of questions. Because of that, most of the time we'll make mistakes. I'll remind my students to read the questions thoroughly before giving me their answers. I'll also make sure I wait for my students finish their questions before answering them. So I can avoid this situation happening in my class.
