learning
it is good to get all kinds of learning types intergrated into your class
I find that when students are told their learning styles that don't want to budge from it. The reality is they can learn from any style one is just more dominant. I will review the lab sheets before they do them so it should keep the questions to a minimum. Most of the time it works great.
I agree catering to all learning styles in very important.
This is definately true, that way you get all the students "pluged in" and get a more harmoniuos outcome.
I like giving a short review of the material yet to be covered. It really isn't a true review, but an introduction to the new material they are about to see. Most kinestetic learners need to see and hear about things covered in a topic, and I find my scores on tests do reflect favorably with this type of instruction.
i like the hands on approach with the class it really showes them whats going on before you go to lab
I find that most of my students prefer hands on learning but I like to give them a blend of as many diffrent styles as I can. for the most part I do as much hands on as possible but by mixing it up with some lecture some visual and some independent study they seem to be successful.
Frank,
I found a very good website that breaks down the characteristics of the different types of learners.
Here is the link if you would like to review:

Hands on learning incorporated with lecture can help make the most of the students experience.
