Leading By Example
I myself have a learning disability and find it helpful to share with my students my story. I was able to overcome my learning disability and go on with my education to obtain a masters in nursing. Though this was not easy for me to do, I feel the students can relate to me when I share my story with them. I also am more aware of learning disabilities amoung my students seeing I myself had one. I have found this to have positive outcomes with my students.

I agree that generally this is the best approach to helping students learn a new concept or skill.

I find that if I do a lecture on the subject first and then do a demo if actually sticks with the student better and makes it easier for them to do the task
I agree that most college teachers are not well versed in identifying learning disabilities. I noticed that there is not a MaxKnowledge course in disabilities per se. is there one with an indirect title?
