Groups

Groups work well becuse there are so many outlooks and opinions to share

i agree as well, in my class the age of the students are mixed and when i put them in computer groups i see alot of the younger ones helping out some of the older students that have not been around computers as much, and the older students have the real world life stories to tell the younger ones it seems that they help each other out from both sides of the age gap.

Ms. Hill, you make some very good points. I teach criminal justice courses and group work is essential to appreciating the team concept in law enforcement. Group assignments also teach compromise and cooperation to achieve a goal. I have used this approach in the past and as a result of this activity I will use it more in the future.

I agree, I think looking at a problem or any information from multiple angles helps the students understand the concepts better. Sometimes you can hear information from source and it makes more sense.
