Understanding Diverse Learners
I found this section very helpful in trying to understand the varieties of different learners that we may be presented with as instructors. I think it is helpful to have a general idea of what the challenges may be for a all different types of learners in a broad spectrum. I like the idea of keeping it simple and speaking in basic terms when it is necesary so that the message can be more easily understood. I also thought that the usage of short term assessment was a great tool for spot checking the students comprehension of the subject material to see that they are actually undertsanding it and that it can be retained.

And - as instructors - we should realize and understand that and not try to be super heroes. When we try to be everything to all people, we risk hurting more than helping our students.

i agree. it is also hard to meet the needs of every kind of learner in each class period.
take the time out after or before class to assit the students with diverse learning needs

one thing that i have found is that there are many words in this feild that do not translate into spanish,what are we supposed to do about that?

I also find this helpful in finding the students that need help. I like finding new ways to help stuents learn.things change over the years and this helps
