Success stories generate positive energy which can be shared by everyone.
It's all about learning from mistakes. Everything is trial and error, but evaluating every step taken is the most important thing. Sharing the good and bad experiences gives better insight on reaching goals on any level
Very very true!! Success stories helps motivates students to want to be better and do more so that they can reach their goals and achieve the things in life they want.
Stories - whether successes or not are usually instructive - if not "how to do something" then "how not to do something".
Sharing the unsuccessful stories can be just as influential as the successful ones because it will let students know to keep trying and working towards their goal. The first attempt may need some reevaluation for the second attempt in order to be successful.

Not only do I share success stories about me, I will also talk about other people in my life and share their stories with my students. I will also encourage them to tell us about their success stories. I learn alot from them and they learn from eachother.
