grip on the spoken language is useful to understand the subject,also to assimilate the concept.
in todays world we have a diverse of languages,for me i am bilingual and it is a very useful tool so i can help those students within there culture.I know 5 different languages one is to work with the hearing impaired.I love being able to help in all aspects with students which are multi cultured.it helps me learn more about them.

Growing up in South Florida I was exposed to the Spanish language everyday. It has worked to my advantage since I am familiar with the inherent differences and common problems with assimilation. I can empathize with the student.
