I have found in every class that I will have at least one or two students with learning disabilities. They often feel they have never been successful in school and are easily discouraged. With positive motivation and using learning tactics to reenforce their abilities they are are motivated learners.

at my school i feel we have a higher than normal level of learning disabled students. we have a lot of hands-on applications/learning situations so i think our school attracts that kind of learner. the problem is that we still have to give theory information in a reading/writing format and many students often fall behind in theory before they get to the actual practice.

This is so true. I tell my students all the the time you can be what or do what ever you want to do if you are determined.
