What they have learned

Reminding students of what they have acceived in class has been a positive helper.

I teach paralegal students. Often, when starting a new class, I will give a pre-test on what the students think they know about the subject. Then ever 3 or 4 classes, I will revisit their answers with their newly acquired knowledge. The students can see how much they have learned.

I agree. I begin each class with a Q & A of the material covered from the previous day. I find it helps the retention of material. A recap at the end of the day is also helpful.
