Learning Disabilities
How do you keep students with learning disabilities from getting frustrated? I have not experienced a student that I am aware of yet with this type of disability. I would imagine showing extreme patience with the student would help as well as giving the student more time to complete assignments.
Billy,
this is exactly what we need to be doing, which isn't always easy, but that patience goes a long way toward helping the student.

I would agree with your discussion. I believe that expressing patients when working with students is very effective. When you lose your patients you get upset and in return the student gets upset or frustrated there for missing out on their learning experience. I find that patience and tone of voice while working with a student enhances there ability to learn.
Julian,
yes, demonstrating patience & helping them to be patient with themselves is a great way. Another good idea is to monitor when too much is coming at them & helping them to take a step back & a deep breath.
