students with disabilities

I have had several and by finding what kind then I can change teaching styles to help them learn better

The only issue that I've had a very very difficult time helping with is really poor vision. I had a student who couldn't see the screen three feet in front of her. Normally you could zoom in, maybe make the screen closer or something, but the ability to see subtle things in the live room 20 feet away like facial expressions on musicians would become a big hindrance for her later. This coupled with the very concentrated use of the screen for precise editing made this disability a difficult one to contend with. She graduated school, but now I fear for her earning potential, as this greatly limits the jobs she could be hired to do. the larger issue is that she's never been forthcoming about her vision. I could see an employer hiring her and then letting her go for not being able to fulfill certain job duties. If she was more upfront about her sight, I'm sure many employers would work with her to maximize her skills.
