Timing

I liked the suggestion to allow more time when deal with some learning disabilities. That one simple idea can work with a variety of learning issues, including ones brought about due to a medical condition.

I agree with Michael to allow more time for the students with learning disabilities because it shows you are understanding of their learning situation and want them to succeed.

I allow students the remainder of the date of the class to complete any test, but outside of class time.

I do not rush my students when they are taking a test. In fact, I try and encourage them to take their time. I find so many easy mistakes because they rush through their tests. Sometimes I feel it is because they do not want to be the last student taking the test. I give them a task when they are finished with their test in order not to disrupt the students who need more time.

I like the suggestion but I would have liked more guidance in terms of how to determine how much extra time should be allowed.
