My major class is hydraulics. We know that pump produce flow. What creates pressure in a system? When they answer restriction. I would then ask them what is the definition for restriction and what two things create restriction in the system? The first answer would be (definition for restriction): resistance to flow. The second answer would be: the system itself would create an internal restriction and an external load or weight being place on the system would be the second one.
