Multiple inteligence
I have always included this in my lab experiments for years. Basically in situations requiring students to work together to troubleshoot a problem.
John,
This is why it is so important to offer a variety of delivery methods to the students so they can see the different ways through which they can gain the knowledge needed for class success.

It definitly seems like students to learn is diferent manors but may be they will pick on on different things when they see them or hear them in a different way
As with most things in life, it is alwasys good to keep good balance. Multiple inteligence learning is the best way to keep all students engaged.
Lonnie,
Good point about the new to expand our traditional instructional delivery based upon the students we have at that time. The more we can learn about them the better we can target our instruction to them.
Gary
Covering these four areas during my lessons can ensure that all my students will have a fighting chance at absorbing information and strengthening my delivery at the same time.
Theodore,
By offering the different delivery options the students stay engaged more. You make a good point about the value of such offerings and how they impact student achievement.
Gary
I agree with the four categories of learning preferences, auditory, written, visual and kinesthetic. I feel that an instructor should take these differences into consideration when developing lesson plans. Reading assignment should be given, class discussions with all students participating should be included. Power Point presentations are important and hand-on exercises if practical should be performed in class.
