Multiple intelligences and personality types

I believe that, in additions to the multiple intelligences effecting the way people acquire and process information, there is also a personality factor. The brain is one part of the formula, but the personality (which is partially based on prior experience / emotions / behavorial) is indeed another. I like to think of the brain as being mechanical in the way it functions (even though different people will demonstrate different brain types, while exhibiting different personality types at the same time.)

Collective unconscious and "archetypes" are the background noise that affects each individual's learning interpretation. Very similar to Freudian psychology or theory, with Id, Ego and Superego as the descriptive terms.

Don,
I think this is a big part of student and career success. Personality plays a big part in how we perceive situations and react to challenges. Understanding this we can provide support to our students and encourage them as they develop their own strategies for coping with career growth.
