JUDGEMENT
THE GREATER QUESTION IS WHAT INFLUENCES JUDGEMNENT. IF JUDGEMENT IS DEFINED AS DECISION MAKING AFTER RESEARCH HAS BEEN ANALYZED, THEN WHAT INFLUENCES JUDGEMENT.
Mary,
I agree with you. I find that patience and self-decipline go hand and hand. Often times we are under time constraints to produce a solution to a problem, and critical thinking often requires the problem solver to exercise the decipline of patience to see and sort out all important information.
Alex,
Let me tell you I have lived long enough that I should have outstanding good judgment as I have made plenty of the poor judgment choices. Hope to keep getting better at judgment.

"Good judgment is based upon experience and experience is based upon a lot of poor judgment". I like that.
We learn on our own mistakes, we'll be good if we gonna learn on mistakes made by others.
Mary,
Your first sentence is very good. I have a saying on my office wall that relates to judgment. It says "Good judgment is based upon experience and experience is based upon a lot of poor judgment". We all know the mistakes we have made and how much we have learned from them. This is a message we are trying to impart to our students. They need to take risks and have experiences so they can refine their judgment.

Judgement comes through experience. Success depends on how disciplined you are at working through the critical thinking process. The most difficult aspect is taking the time to work through the process.
Chuka,
Spoken like a true reflective and critical thinker. Thank you for this point.
