school admin is not available to aid in student frustrations

what are appropriate ways to handle student concerns if the proper school admin is not readily available or shows a lack in concern for the students issues?

We do Instructor reviews after every course and a school eval every quarter. They have plenty of opportunity to say whatever is on their minds. In addition to that each Instructor has up to 25? students in which they are advisors to. We dont however get to see any of the reviews unless it is very bad at which time the problems are addressed. I would like to try the lesson reviews that were talked about.

Hi LaWanda,
Students need to know that they are being listened to. This is an excellent way for them to "air" their concerns through writing them down. I have found that in many cases when the students are asked to write down their concerns they either don't consider them as being worth writing down or once they see their concern(s) in writing they don't see as big as when they were being talked about. This helps to get the "real" concerns focused on and dealt with. Keep up the good work.

One to is to allow students to complete a "Student of Concerns" form and air their concerns in writing - ensure the student someone will contact them w/ 48 hours
