Learning Diversity

Students in our classrooms come from all walks of life, finding a common ground and excepting all differences can make the learning environment much less daunting for students.

Inesa,
This is one of the fun parts of being in school, either as a student or an instructor. Exposure to different age and cultural groups gives additional perspective to how students perceive their role in their chosen career and workplace.

You are right. We have students from very different backgrounds. I teach them to learn from each other, use different approaches, compare different methods, and grow.

Kristin,
This is a good plan to follow. You are customizing your instructional process to meet the students where they are and then helping them to move toward their career goals. Knowing you are there with support is a great motivator for most students.
