Refocus
When I fall into a rut, the student is the one who suffers. I think it is important that our administration should give us opportunities to become more invigorated, and recharged to teach. Holding seminars that might give us new ideas for teaching the same subject would be helpful.
I think attending seminars are a great reenergizer. They are so inspirational and motivational. It is always exciting to meet and speak with students and workers in the field.
Hi Francisco,
Good plan for professional development. It is through constant review and careful planning you expand your expertise as an instructional delivery expert. Keep up the great effort.

Some methods I use include recognizing what I've done well and what I need to improve on. I constantly evaluate my lectures and demonstrations to see if my delivery was understood by my students. I do this by evaluating how much they've learned through tests, skill building, and achieving proficiencies in labs.
Hi Gena,
Your suggestion at the end of your forum comments is a good one. We all need new ideas that we can use to keep our classes motivating and interesting. Encourage your college to try and set something up like that for your faculty. I know the in-service will be of great benefit to all.
