The "Dream Job" as specific motivation
I have found that asking a student exactly where the want to end up and connecting all future tools and learning directly to that outcome helps students focus on the prize one project, one class, one quarter or semester at a time.
Yes. "Keep your eyes on the prize." It also helps to have motivational speakers, persons in the field, come to speak before the student body.
To improving our life style we have to determined a goal or select a golden dream. Targeted dream will give us insisting and feedback. To reach goal a dream works as motivation.

Well said. As the old saying goes "the beginning of the journey is the first step" and that is what the students have to see. Each step, class, project, phase is another step toward the achievement of their career goal.
