A Motivated Instructor Motivates
It wasn't until this term, unfortunately, that I realized when I changed my ATTITUDE and thoughts of being infront of a class that I was more engaged with the student and what I was there to accomplish.
Boy, does ATTITUDE play an important part of every aspect of life?!?!
ATTITUDES REALLY ARE CATCHY!
This term has been one of the most satisfying yet! I believe for myself and the students.
Hi Chef,
A motivated person is one that will grow and develop into a true professional contributor to his/her field. You are providing such opportunities for your students. Keep up the good work.
Gary
Attitudes are everything, are the door that maybe will open the motivation of others.
Every time that I havea possitive motivation I do get the best of my students, even better: Every body enjoys the class!

In reply to what Stacey said about attitude, I have found that my students can read my attitude very fast, and will act accordingly. In a setting where an instructor sees the students every day, students can almost see what I am thinking before I do. And on days where I am not feeling so good, they really notice. You are so right about attitude, Stacey, and it's something that I actually think I may have to spend more time working on.
Hi Phillip,
Well said concerning positive attitudes while teaching. Instructors have to lead by example and make sure they are keeping themselves and their students focused on why everyone is there--to learn and prepare for a career.
Gary
I could not agree more. If you are in front of a group of people and take on the attitude of not wanting to be there the group will follow suit and start to question why they are there as well. I have found that when I am in front of the class I have to put all my own issues aside and concentrate on the task at hand: The students.
That is great to hear Stacey!
The more confidence to have in yourself the more enthusiasm you bring to the classroom and the students catch your enthusiasm and class is so much more rewarding.
Hi Stacey,
Great to hear! It is amazing how attitude does change things. We humans hear about it, but until we practice it we never see the results.
