Motivation
When students have successfully completed a project, I show them examples of real life art where the same solution is used. This gets them very excited.
This seems like a great way to motivate students.
I hope to improve my motivation methods this term. I have enthusiasm but sometimes I think my students are lacking the same.
Hi Jeffrey,
Good strategy. You are building their skills in not only food preparation but human management as well. They are going to have to manage individuals with diverse backgrounds so they really need experience in this area.

In the culinary industry chefs need to be leaders that is what they do evry day and some chefs have very large staffs.Size does not matter what does is realizing that every person is motivated different. We teach in school how to use your senses as tools to be a leader. We tlk about using your voice and how to speak to employees and motivate them. How to listen and answer and lead by example. All of these mannerisms are whys to motivate. I use our classroom setting the kitchen as reality and show them how to motivate using all of the tools we have.
Hi Fred,
This is a great way to connect the dots between their proposed solution and how that was used in real life art. This helps them to see application and relevancy to what you are teaching and they are learning.
