Good point about student sharing. As an instructor I am always surprised at the diversity of experience that the students bring to the classroom. I feel honored to be able to participate in classes like this because I get to learn so much from these students.

I also agree that having students give their experiences with the current topic is helpful. The person sharing the experience feels good about contributing to the discussion, and others in the class get a view from the "field" that adds to the experiences that the instructor may have already shared.

I agree. Having students give their on experinces for the current subject does help other students see that the information may help them in the business world.
I try to relate my own experiences in the field, quite often while teaching. I also welcome students to tell some of their experiences that relate to the subject. this help to keep them interested and motivated.

You make a very good point about telling your students about the money they will make but also the respect their job title will bring them. The job title aspect should be brought out when we are teaching since much of our identity and respect is tied to the career field in which we work.

As a dental instructor I usually tell the students that this course is realy interesting and it will help you to find the job that you wrere always dreaming about ..The reason is not only the money but you will have a very respected job tittle that you will be proud of
