teaching
I just remember everytime I am in the classroom, I was once in the shoes of the students and I didn't want a boring teacher. So I try to make it fun to learn for everyone.
Neuroscience research tells us that multi-sensory environments always foster better recall of information, so I try to engage all of my students' senses through the use of slides, clips, discussions, music, and even drawing activities.
I agree with you in that making sure your students understand/assimilate the material before moving on ,if at all possible!Yes two voices are better than one except yours means more! It sounds like you are a fascinating teacher, keep up the good work!
I always try to remeber the great teachers I had in college that were terrible at answering student questions. I have had teachers confuse me more than I previously was before asking the question. I would say to myself that when I am teaching I always want to make sure everyone understands the material before I move on. If what I was saying was not getting through to the student I would ask someone in the classroom that did understand the topic to help me explain it to the confused student. Two voices are better than one.
I have been out of teaching now as a director, but when I do go back into the classroom - I remember how excited I got when I first went into the classroom and stood before a group of students - I did not want to be a bore!!
I TRY TO BE VERY SIMPLISTIC IN MY DEMOS
