Know What Modivates your Student
You should know your students when it comes to their behaviors and what motivates them. You have those students on may occusions more than once which they are in the college. Most students need encoursgement from their instructors and others do not want to draw attention to themselves. If you know them, you will know how to motivate them.
That is true. So any suggestions for getting to know them?

I find that no matter the age of my students they still like prizes and rewards. Food always works with my students. We work hard, learn a lot and then reward ourselves with food. This is enjoyable for everyone.

Yes, and there are many differant modivations that could be used. Prize modivations is a good one by letting them know that those that work very hard would be rewared at the end of the cource with some kind it aword or even be interes in a drawing for some prize

Each student is looking for that level of comfort within their class as well as their instructor. Paying attention and learning your students, opens the door for this to happen.
