Enthusiasm
What specific activities do you use to maintain an enthusiastic environment?
Every group is different. I usually try to use games that involves them to move around in the classroom, for quiz and test reviews I use the jeopardy game, they work in teams, get very enthusiastic about Thurdays' reviews and over all because they know that the winning team will receive a chocolate bar.
We use music! Our students get bored with silence as we are a hands on environment. We also do a lot of group activities/games to keep it fun

Activities that has every student participating and is engaging for the students. Also if the instructor is enthusiastic then student excitement will follow because both are catching for students. Knowing you are passionate about your field and excited about teaching it goes a long way in helping students to retain the needed content and be motivated.
