Hi Joslynn,
Students do enjoy having the opportunity to show what they have learned. This can be a big plus when you are laying out your instructional strategy. Keeping the students engaged in the learning process is a must and this is a good way to do it.

Hi Eric,
You are right about how how to set up the learning environment. It needs to be a place that students will want to return to because of the learning that is occurring and the enjoyment they get from such learning.

The idea of reaching out to the student by letting them do the evening demonstrtion. Forming the dough, baking off the cookies. A way of letting the student "show" off their skills. Makes it fun makes them prepared for the days production. Also they can see how much fun it is to show off what they have learned.

The idea of handling the class is having fun, enthusiasm, confidence, excitement, respect and professional skill makes the class a lot more interesting. Which in turn; students want to show up too class more often and learn.

Hi Bradley,
Well said. This approach shows the total person that is teaching the class. This is important for the students to see as they need to develop their balance between their professional skills and personality in the work place.
