The Human Factor

We just hosted our annual luncheon recognizing our top instructors, and I asked several of our top faculty members why they think their students view them as the best. Several of their replies are relevant on this topic. They shared points that included being:

Relevant, contemporary, and enjoyable

Firm, fair. consistent, and personable.

Enthusiastic, compassionate, fair, and caring.

Supportive, diligent, and passionate.

Finally, they all stressed that they help students believe in themselves.

Hi Dennis,
Thank you for sharing this great list of teacher attributes. These words describe some outstanding teachers as you have indicated they are by the recognition they received.
This list can be of help to many other instructors as they strive to find their instructional persona and style.
The common theme to all of these words is "dedication".
You have a great bunch of educators and I knowing your students are benefiting from their impact.
Gary
