Can anyone recommend good methods for of hands on actvitied for a class?

I am sure all of that stuff really gets the students engaged in the learning process. I know it would me because I don't know about any of it and it all looks interesting.

I teach criminal justice and use fingerprint kits, crime scene tape, automobile templates and a variety of police paraphernalia.
I teach automatic transmission and use parts of transmissions during lecture and students seem to like it.
