Just when you think you thought of everything, someone brings up a better idea on classroom control and educational learning!

Michael,
Congratulations for triggering a recall moment in the mind of this student. Through the illustrations and stories you are sharing with your students you are helping them to realize they know more than they think they do and that they can use their previously acquired knowledge to help them be successful. Keep up the good work!

This point was really driven home just last week when a student commented that she had learned that in high school but had forgotten it. She remembered it when I was lecturing about that topic.

Peggy,
We must be life long learners. I heard teaching defined as "learning twice, once as a student and once as a teacher" and believe it. Your point reinforces such a statement.

David,
For sure. You make a very good point about how we need to always be open to new ideas and strategies to make our courses better and reflect best practices.

The more ideas you can get, the better, instructor you will be. As long as you encounter new students, instructor, administrators, there will be a wealth of new ideas!
