Wish I had this course sooner

This was a truly unique term as I taught the same three classes to two very different groups. The first group was plagued by tardiness, absenteeism, late assignments, and several resulting failures; the other class was very engaged, timely, and for the most part present and accounted for.
Despite the differences in the personalities of the two classes, I can see how the things I learned in ED 112 can make me a better instructor. Now my task is to implement these techniques and see if the results can be improved.

I feel the same way. I am so glad that i took this course, i am extremely positive that with everything i have learned i will see a significant difference in class dynamic and students. This course allowed me to see it from my students point of view, that way it allows me to be the best i can be while i am teaching

I teach the same course that runs either morning afternoon or at night. It will be interesting to use these techniques with each of these classes to see the results based on which time frame I am working with

I really liked this topic b/c now I see clearer what motivates our students and how truly different some of them are. As we learned in this lesson some of our students are purely motivated to do a good job, simple as that, no strings attached. That being said, we have other students that they only way they will do a good job is by dangling something in front of them to work towards. However we learned that this can simply backfire as well. I will begin teaching again in January and I have a fairly large class of 18 so I am excited to put this lesson into action with this group and see how it plays out.

Yes, I will essentially be doing the same thing as you. I'll be teaching the same course to three different groups in the Spring.

I think the information in this course was very helpful. Although we probably knew most of this, it was great to see it all clearly defined and presented. I can definitely see myself drawing upon a lot of this going forward.

I agree i have had the same problems with various groups and classes with one group being a model for good behaviour and turning all work in on time where the other group is exactly the opposite. I know have the knowledge to change the outcomes of these groups
