Accuracy
I find the descriptions to be very accurate. I am a generation X and grew up in a school that got their first computer lab my junior year. Internet was slow and the computers were basically for typing papers. We didn't do much research at this point. I was also a latch key kid and felt a disconnect through my single parent household. However, interestingly enough, the family values were still instilled upon me.
Don,
yes, thanks for the comments. As noted in the course materials these are generalities & are not meant to be the absolute for the generations but tend to be observed characteristics of many in the different generations.

I'm a Boomer and my 5 children are Gen x. even though i worked up to 4 jobs at the same time and some times my wife and I worked opposed shifts the kids had and still have very strong family values.I suspect no definition will always be 100%. The categories generally follow true with my diverse class which ranges from Gen X to Gen Y.The Gen Y definitions , for my class, are good for middle to high achieving students, but aren't great for the bottom performers. Some of these are loners with non supportive parents and struggle with simple technology.
