Barriers
We hae a few barriers with genration Y as an instructor you must engage the students wether it in lecture or technology. The level of delvery of theory is very important and technology has to be implemented.

you tube is a great resource & many of the videos are a nice, short length so we can show them in class & not give all of our lecture/teaching time away.

I have used several methods of incorporating the current technology used by this generation. I look for You Tube videos that are demonstrating concepts we are discussing in class. I find it very helpful as it's a technology that they are all comfortable using and can continue to explore more on their own.

A technique I use is to incorporate a video or visual aid, technology (even if it's research or an online/cell poll), and a small group activity relative to the content. Along with the lecture, this seems to engage all generations and types of learners.
