This course offer more choices that can help the students learn materials offered in the classroom
Student engagement is tremendously important to me as a teacher. I have learned so much through this learning module. Additionally, meeting the needs of millenials and generation X-ers will absolutely require today's teachers to embrace technology to teach in the classroom.
Do not let technology be a substitute teacher. If you are going to incorporate it, make sure you are just as involved with it as the students are.
Technology is inevitable and we need to master it. once again so many resources to take advantage of and implement in the classroom.
I truly wish that the copyright laws would be taken care of on a campus level so that the teachers would not have to decipher whether or not something like a video is permissible or not. I also am looking forward to finding material that pertains to my field which is culinary. It will be interesting to see what is out there.
I thought the copyright laws were interesting; who can and cannot use certain materials and/or how they are used. Very few educators worry about this, though, as there is virtually no way to monitor for violators outside of student reporting.
While we offten don't think about the use of copy righted materials in the classroom at the end of the day we are depriving the author of compenstion. For the author this may be his means of earning a living and i guess to put it in a brighter light how would we feel if someone took a portion of out paycheck.
Networking is one of the benefits of today's teaching environments along with electronics forms of the material.
there are plenty of online learning platforms that can increase the classroom culture outside of the classroom and still have great student engagement.
I learned the most from the copyright module. Since so much of my content includes example works from active professional creatives, I'm always up for learning more to ensure both my content and students' work are based in industry standard ethics and law. The questions regarding what could infringe on a copyright were very helpful.
I definetly will include more games in my class. , in the case of quizzes I use Google Forms and it is very friendly, but I did not see it in the list of recommendations.
There multiple resources available for teaching that are available- often free. Free use laws are important to know when using others work. They can be used under certain conditions.
Socail networks could be a tool for useful learning along with the classroom.

Learned that, "Benefits of joining a professional organization include lifelong learning opportunities, networking events and perhaps most important, staying up to date on new technologies and resources that promote innovative teaching and learning practices."
A class "wiki" is a great idea for posting our classes videos, podcasts, and news updates. This will allow us to have a more visual collection of our work than a Google drive folder.
I did not know that there could be copyright issues if certain works are used while teaching at a proprietary school vs. non-profit.
I have learned about copyright protection and how to implement social media into the classroom.
Teaching students and fellow teachers the importance of copyright infringement and its possible consequences. To keep up with millenials, incorporate social media into your lessons. Find what interests them.
Incorporating videos into a lecture can be tricky for copyright reasons
