This is an idea that I plan to use in the future. I feel that alot of our students struggle to make a mental picture from what they read in a book. This allows them a fun way to connect the two.
Fun and great idea, a very goog teahing tool
Sonja, this is both fun and effective.

I agree with your statment, most students do learn hands on better. The t-shirt method is a fun way of doing it.
Great idea, I love having fun while learning, i think the students recall better with fun activities.
I'm glad you like this and I hope you can use it.
When we teach A&P students try to memorize and retain the informatin from a model in a book that is 2 inches by 2 inches. By drawling it out life size not only will they remember where the organs are located but there relation in size. Great Idea!!
I find that hands on instruction works great for most students. The t shirt method is very neat and I know I would love it if I was a student.
Making anatomy easy to see is a way to insure success.
The t-shirt method is such a great idea we use this technique during anatomy. The students seem to pick up things more quickly by being able to see the position and where things are located.
I love this idea. I am going to use it for my Physical Assessment course. The students will fully understand placement of the stethoscope.
I agree with your statement. It is a very effective tool to use for students to remember various body systems.
I agree, plus this can be a great souveneir of their class after they graduate. A great way to remember an enjoyable class they had.
I agree that the T-Shirt makes a wonderful tool for teaching basic anatomy and some of the fundamentals. Much easier to remember. A wonderful subsititute for the invisible man!
i like this idea as an homework assignment.
Edward, I love your honesty. I offered a range of activities so people could pick and choose the ones they knew would fit their students. Enjoy the T shirt idea, I know it works.
The Tshirt method is the only method that makes sense really. I don't think I am going to make jello for class of those entering the nursing or respiratory work force. A little dorky. Sorry just being honest. The tshirt definately gives the student opportunity to really visualize anatomy structure and be able to see where to actually listen to lungs or heart sounds.
Glad you like this idea. You can assign this for homework so it does not take class time, and can use pin on flip chart paper instead of real t-shirts to decrease costs.
Thr T-Shirt Method is a great idea. Perhaps in teaching skills this method would help the students to remember more than just the text book. Although you have to remember it takes time and money to do this procedure and time in an excelerated class is not whats available. Do like the idea.
