I really like some of the ideas that were presented in this first lesson. This may be the most enjoyable course I've taken thus far. Good stuff!

The ideas in the first module are great. I start a new class on Monday and I will try the one starting with famous encounters to get the class talking and to get rid of some of the first day stress.

I like some of the ideas as well. I used the one with the letters before an exam to relieve some test anxiety. The students were very receptive.

I am so going to use this one in my clinical group as an exercise to help them understand how much we can learn about a patient with every interaction.

There are some really good ideas here for critical thinking. In the massage therapy profession HIPPA is strongly regarded since clients are discussing intimate details with us.
Abigail, I use the plastic type of caps and the dry erase markers. If you experiment with some other markers, they may work also.

I agree. I really like the idea of having the students listen to a description of a vacation, then surprising them by having to recall the physical features of the speaker. A good lesson in how to both listen and observe at the same time.

I also think that some of the ideas in this course were great. This semester I used the T-shirt and the brain exercises in my Anatomy classes. The students absolutely loved them. I can't wait to next semester to try some more ideas.
