Maryrose, I like that you model how to fond information.

I agree. I use various craft material to reinforce information learned in class. Students tend to retain the information for the entire term.

Preparation is key. When you are prepared, you are on your game. Repitition can be a good thing when used with a "teach it forward" concept. A student asks a question, I turn to the rest of the class and ask which one can answer it. If no one responds, I say "Let's look it up together". After the answer has been found, we continue to "where" it was found and review the material.

I agree, studets now days are too distracted.

Richard, checking to see if the learners understand is an important part of teaching.

TO BRING BACK THE INTEREST OF THE STUDENTS ,WE NEED TO COME READY TO TEACH ,HAVE SPENT TIME PREPARING THE LECTURE AND TO USE DIFFERENTS WAYS TO KEEP THEIR ATTENTION,TO USE PRACTICAL WAYS TO MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND,I BELIEVE THAT REPEATING THINGS IS IMPORTANT BUT WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK WE HAVE TO FIND A PRATICAL WAY TO MAKE THEM UNDERSTANT

I am trying to understand them the lecture. I am trying to pay their attention on my lecture. If they could not understand then I tell them my lecture related story. Gradually they can understand it
