BINGO

I've had great luck with BINGO in my classes.

I hand out blank BINGO cards and a list of Medical Terminology word parts and ask that each student populate his/her own card using the list the provided.

I then pull definitions out of the hat- the students mark the word part with that meaning on their card.

Standard BINGO rules apply.

I usually have small prizes available- a bonus point, a pencil, an eraser, something like that.

Carolyn, this allows for an additional review of content for the students.

And this time, the students will create the cards. :)

I never thought of that either. I spent a lot of time creating cards!!!

Beth, this allows the words to be randomly placed, so not everyone gets bingo at the same time.

I also use bingo in my class, but I've never thought about asking the students to make their own cards. Great idea. I'm definitely trying that.

Bingo seems to be a great tool to use for medical terminology

I have used BINGO in the class room it helps the student better Identify the their medical terms and I also use it with body systems.

Sarah, asking the students to create the game questions, then answer them offers multiple repetitions.

I had my students make their own review games and BINGO worked well and so did hangman.

I really like that. I'm gonna have to start doing this activity.

Thank You
