Visual Aids

This would be great to utilize in a skills lab. Could get crazy with a large student population. It would be hard to refocus the students in a class setting but I may give it a try.

I have not trying this in larger groups, may be its time consuming.

I try and bring in visual aides in class as much as possible to help our students retain the information.

Deborah, this is a great use of visuals.

I use You tube appropiate video for some clinical demonstrations on physical therapy aids and handwashing videos done by hospitals.

With the proper preparation of this activity and the explanation of how it will benefit the students. I find that it's easier to keep the time limit as mentioned in the course material between 2 or 3 minutes. With the proper time management. Everyone will have a chance to go. The end results will be that they had fun while learning.

I agree, may be more effective in a smaller group verses a larger pop, but useful I think non-the-less

Karen, if you have a refocus signal that everyone responds to, it will work.
