lorraine, if only every instructor would follow your wise words here! I meet so many teachers that assume the learners will change, and that is unlikely. It causes much grief and unhappiness for everyone involved.

I have come to realize that you provide this learner with the tools they need and they will be successful. It is a bad idea to try to force them to change their style. It is their style and if it works for them don't try to change it.
