I read a study that it is important for todays online active learning gaming generation that media formats need to have hyperlinks and power points must have color, animation, graphs, statistics,movement and sound to capture and keep their attention.

We I have taken online classes the ones I liked the best always had extra resources that I had to search for or link to. The graphics and layout of the pages were just as important.

What I find it that older adults who "tackle" online classes may not be computer savvy at first, but they show a willingness to learn. Therefore, I try to make available to them any tools possible to foster that desire to conquer this new territory in their life.

We do live in a society that dominates in visual media....but do not forget that we have older generations that take classes and may be overwhelmed with over stimulation.
