I think that providing students with the tools to succeed is, of course, of the utmost importance. Likewise, it is crucial that instructors be given the tools they need to teach. This includes the basics, such as course information and textbooks, but it also includes properly functioning tech platforms and institutional support and encouragement. In short, it takes a village!

Students like any extra resource they can get. Actually we as instructors like this as well! There are times when students have used a resource that I have never heard of!

As an instructor it is important to discuss how to apply for jobs and create resumes. Most students do not know how to do this.

I have seen the instructor go into class with the wrong book on more than one occasion. I think that when this type of problem arises the instructor should let the Director of that department know. The instructor needs to review the material before stating the class. Doing so will prevent this from occurring.
