Evaluations are a key to a students success as grades now play such a large role in the jobs they gain. Should evaluations be easier to help the student succeed?

Assessment is something we do with our students and not to our students. Evaluations should help students improve. Keep it up!
Evaluations that are comprehensive in method and type will help the student succeed. Easy evaluations are not a consideration. Evaluations that permit the student to learn from the assessment will allow the student to better understand his/her strengths and weaknesses which will better position the student to suceed. Evaluations should assess what students have learned. If they haven't learned the material. . .who's job is it to go back and cover the material again? See how formative assessments play a key role in the learning process?

Right one. They need to be realistic for sure and we want to make sure we are giving feedback to students as well to help them improve. Thanks for your feedback.
I don't think evaulations should be easier but they need to be realistic and reflect the success the student has achieved. Sometime we as instructors need to take an intraspective look to ensure we are fair and consistent in our evaluations.
